A virtual meetup hosted by Hyperledger Washington DC on Dec 13, 2022 featuring Dr. Yongge Wang and Ahmed Alsalih.
In this talk, they review the academic models for BFT protocols and analyze the commonly deployed BFT consensus protocols for blockchains such as Ethereum.
They then compare several BFT protocols that could be used for Hyperledger Fabric and discuss the implementations details regarding BDLS that could be integrated into Hyperledger Fabric.
The talk will be based on the paper https://doi.org/10.1145/3538227 and on the implementations of BDLS at: https://github.com/hyperledger-labs/bdls
Hyperledger is an open source community focused on developing a suite of stable frameworks, tools and libraries for enterprise-grade blockchain deployments.
It serves as a neutral home for various distributed ledger frameworks including Hyperledger Besu, Fabric, Sawtooth, Indy, as well as tools like Hyperledger Avalon, Cactus and libraries like Hyperledger Aries, Ursa. Learn more about Hyperledger projects: https://www.hyperledger.org/use
