📝 Project Overview 📝

Enjin was founded way back in 2009 and successfully launched its ICO in mid-2017. Enjin is trying to create an all-in-one blockchain game development platform bringing blockchain tech to video games. The project helps game developers unlock new ways to crowdfund, grow and monetize whilst offering players the ability to truly own their in-game items.

Enjin is perhaps the most advanced video gaming-focused crypto project. The potential upside is staggering when you consider there are over 2.5 billion gamers in the world and that this sector is worth an incredible $120 billion in revenue per year.

⁉️ What Is Enjin ⁉️

What Enjin is doing is moving the concepts of crypto outside of just currency and letting people tokenize virtual items through creating an ecosystem of tools that makes this accessible and usable. So, you could tokenize items within video games and allow players to actually own that special sword or magic wand.

Oh yeah, the project is also the pioneer behind the ERC-1155 standard.

❓What Is The Enjin Coin❓

In short, the ENJ coin is what game developers use to pay for blockchain-based gaming items to be created or forged. Each digital item created has a certain amount of Enjin coin inside them which can be retrieved later by melting the item down. The result is that players will be safe in the knowledge that each Enjin powered items will have some value.

So, in a nutshell, the more Enjin is adopted by game developers and players, the more valuable Enjin coin will be.

⚙️ The Enjin Platform ⚙️

Enjin is one of the few projects out there with a pretty comprehensive ecosystem. This includes:

* The Enjin Platform: Which offers game developers tools to crowdfund, grow their communities, monetize and more.
* The Enjin Wallet: A super easy to use crypto wallet that supports multi-crypto and NFT’s.
* The Enjin Block Explorer: Find blockchain-based assets to buy or sell. All this in one simple to use solution.

👨‍💻 Efinity 👨‍💻

Although Enjin successfully put it’s mainnet live in Feb 2020, it is clear that Ethereum 1.0’s 15 transactions per second are not going to be enough to support Enjin’s in-game transaction load if it is adopted at scale.

That’s why the team is working on its own scaling solution for Ethereum called Efinity. Enjin wants this solution to offer infinite scalability and parallel transactions. It’s still being worked on, so we’ll just have to wait and see if they can pull this off.
